Manly Yacht Club was established in 1950 and is run for the benefit of the local community. We welcome sailors of all abilities and ages to stay active and enjoy the spectacular waters of Manly Cove and Sydney Harbour.

Winter Race 3 - 15 June 2025![]()

The forecast wasn’t good … sub 5 knots from the west turning north. What a surprise that it came from the opposite direction, but still not more than about 5 knots. Transitions and glass outs were the order of the day. Course 1 was the course of choice. We, in Division 1, had the long slog to Nielsen Park AS. Just as the CYCA winter fleet called their race abandoned, a small zephyr, which gradually built, had the 2 divisions on their way to a shortened course. Everyone was off the water by the time the thunder and lightning hit Manly.![]()

In Division 1 the lead boats were Absolut, Esprit and San Toy, over the line but the handicap results bumped Kia Kaha into 3rd place.![]()

Division 2 saw a tussle for line honours between Kaotic, Peach Teats-Velocity, Stock Car and Magician V just 15 seconds behind but corrected time saw the finish places Stock Car, Kaotic and Peach Teats-Velocity, respectively. Well done to everyone in difficult sailing conditions.![]()
