Good news: Four yachts from your Manly Yacht Club are racing tomorrow in the Noakes Sydney to Gold Coast Yacht Race. It’s the 2nd major race of the cruising yacht club of Australia (CYCA) outside the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race. The Harbour should be quite spectacular with 60 yachts competing in a tacking duels up the Harbour & out the Heads. Start is 1pm Saturday 26 July & distance is 384nm (Probably take us 3 days to get there!!). For those keen to follow, here is a link to the tracker: goldcoast.cycaracing.com/tracker/For those keen on an update of the positions along the way and at the end, here is a link to the results page. Look in IRC Division 2 for Kanreki & Mondo, IRC Division 3 for Crux & in the Double-Handed IRC tab to find Jupiter’s position here: goldcoast.cycaracing.com/Standings?categoryId=1065&raceId=186&seriesId=3For a lead in story featuring Jupiters and J/99s see this link:goldcoast.cycaracing.com/news/2025/pre-race/nsgcyr-rise-of-the-j99/For video of Jupiter in last year’s race, see this link:goldcoast.cycaracing.com/news/2024/day-3/from-the-rail-day-3-jupiter/ ...
